Woman Called “Felt like Queen” After Giving Advice That “Men Should Pay Bills in Relationships”

A lady who said that “women shouldn’t pay bills” is under intense criticism on social media for her advice to young women in partnerships. In a now-viral Instagram video, the lady said, “I know I am going to get a lot of hate for saying this out loud,” in front of Buckingham Palace, the home of the British queen.

She continued, “Women, if you are in a relationship or dating, remember there’s no 50/50.” She said that you should not pay your expenses, even if you can afford them, and that your spouse should treat you like a “queen.” She went on to defend her position, stating that she felt like a queen in front of Buckingham Palace and that she wouldn’t settle for anything less if he couldn’t pay her expenses.

Instagram user @thenishfactor posted the video along with the message, “Wisely choose your man, ladies.” The post has generated a lot of controversy and has over 106,000 views since it was uploaded. A lot of comments called the lady a “gold digger,” accusing her of pushing outmoded concepts.

In a separate instance, a Bengaluru autorickshaw that was carrying a divisive message on gender equality garnered notice on social media. “Slim or fat, black or white, virgin or not, all girls deserve respect,” is the vehicle’s tagline. A user on X posted this photograph, which is rapidly becoming viral on social media, with the remark, “Some radical feminism on the roads of Bangalore.”
