At the Sanderson Farms Championship, Beau Hossler had a low scoring day, shooting 8-under 64, missing just one green. In an attempt to win on the PGA Tour for the first time, he only made one green in 64 to take a one-shot lead into the weekend.

Hossler (65–64) shot a 15–under 129 on Jackson’s soft, quiet, and delicate Country Club. 6-under 138 was the cut. Daniel Berger scored 14 under with a 65-65.

Daniel Berger, who missed eighteen months of golf due to a back injury, trailed by one stroke after finishing with another round of seven birdies and no bogeys.

In group two were Englishmen David Skinns (66), Jacob Bridgeman (66) and Keith Mitchell (64), who started the round with a course record of 60 and had to make three birdies on the back nine to break par with a 71.

With David Skinns, Bridgeman and Mitchell were 13-under.

When Berger withdrew from the 2022 U.S. Open at Brookline due to back pain, he was ranked No. 25 in the world. When he was well enough to return to The American Express in January, he was at No. 664. He’s just felt mostly normal in the last several days.

For the majority of players, the FedExCup Fall is primarily on placing in the top 125 in November in order to guarantee a full card for 2025. Bridgeman made a major move. He has a lot to gain since he entered this week at No. 123.
