The film industry not too long ago RS 100 crore was considered a significant milestone at the box office for the film industry. However with rising inflation this figure quickly transformed into the budget for major Indian productions leading superstars to command similar amounts as their fees for high-profile films. Today even television can match that figure in just over a month. Multiple media reports suggest that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is set to earn this impressive sum in just six weeks while hosting Bigg Boss 18. Bigg Boss 18 grand premiere Bigg Boss 18 premieres on Colors TV this Sunday October 6 and excitement is building! While the first glimpses of the iconic Bigg Boss house have been revealed the names of the contestants are still under wraps with fans eagerly speculating. As is tradition the official announcements will be made live on TV. Another closely guarded secret is Salman Khan’s hefty remuneration for the show. According to a recent report by Her Zindagi the superstar is reportedly charging a staggering ₹60 crore per month to host this season of Bigg Boss. Bigg Boss 18: Salman Khans whopping fee Media reports suggest that superstar has indeed increased his remuneration from last season. His fees consist of a blend of per-episode payments and a lump sum contract amount aligning with the reported figure of around Rs 60 crore per month. If this season runs for the typical 15 weeks similar to the previous one the actor could potentially rake in nearly Rs 250 crore. Salman Khans fees are so impressive that they surpass the budgets of several major Indian blockbusters. For instance his remuneration exceeds that of SS Rajamouli and Prabhas epic Baahubali (Rs 180 crore) as well as Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Raos recent hit Stree 2 (Rs 60 crore). It also surpasses the budgets of Rajinikanths Jailer (Rs 200 crore) Shah Rukh Khans Dunki (Rs 120 crore) and Ranbir Kapoors Animal (Rs 100 crore). This staggering amount truly reflects his star power in the industry. How Salman Khan became Bigg Boss host For over 15 years Salman Khan has been the face of Bigg Boss becoming almost synonymous with the reality show. Its difficult to envision anyone else in his role even though the series initially started with hosts like Arshad Warsi and Amitabh Bachchan before Salman took the reins. Whenever he has stepped away from hosting—whether to address legal battles or fulfill film commitments—the shows ratings have noticeably dipped. The message from the audience is crystal clear: Salman is the heart and soul of Bigg Boss. While the engaging concept drama and star-studded cast certainly attract viewers it’s Salman who truly binds it all together as the perfect sutradhar. This undeniable connection is why the makers of Bigg Boss are consistently willing to increase his pay each season.
