Team India's account has finally been opened in the Women's T20 World Cup 2024. After a crushing defeat against New Zealand in the first match, Team India made a comeback in its second match and defeated arch-rival Pakistan by 6 wickets. Indian bowlers performed well in this match, due to which Pakistani team could score only 105 runs. However, the batsmen disappointed again and made the match difficult but captain Harmanpreet Kaur played an excellent innings and took the team to victory. With this, Team India has kept its hopes of reaching the semi-finals intact.

Not much big score was seen in this match played in Dubai. As expected, in the match played during the day, the pitch proved to be slow and it was not easy to hit big shots. Despite this, there was a need for tight bowling and India implemented it successfully from the first over. Medium pacer Renuka Singh made a great start by bowling opener Gul Firoza in the very first over. Whereas spinner Deepti Sharma had taken the wicket of Sidra Amin in the fifth over.
