Rise in gold and silver amidst fair fluctuations: rise like rise in crude oil.

Mumbai: Mumbai's jewelery market remained officially closed today as it was Saturday. However, gold and silver prices overall remained high in the closed market amid sideways fluctuations. In the world market, the price of gold was 2638 to 2639 per ounce, at the low level of 2632 dollars and at the end of the week the price was at the high level of 2670 dollars, the price was 2653 to 2654 dollars.

According to world market news, the dollar's global index rose from 101.91 to cross 102 levels against various major currencies as employment growth data in the United States came in much better than expected. The index stood at 102.69. And finally stood at 102.49.

As the global dollar index rose, there were signs of increased selling by funds in the world market in gold near $2370. Meanwhile, the dollar today rose from Rs 83.97 to Rs 84 due to rise in the dollar index in the global market and it was trading around Rs 84.05 to Rs 84.06 in the Mumbai currency market.

In Ahmedabad jewelery market today, gold prices stood at Rs 78,300 per 10 grams at Rs 99.50 and Rs 78,500 per gram at Rs 99.90. Whereas in Ahmedabad, the price of silver increased by Rs 500 per kg to Rs 92 thousand. The price of silver in the world market rose to a high of $31.78 to $31.79 and reached near $33 an ounce, after a high of $32.96, the price ended the week with a low of $31.50. There were indications that the price was $32.19 to $32.20.

Meanwhile, in the global market, platinum prices touched an intraday high of $996-997 an ounce, a high of 1009 and a low of 989, closing at $992-993, while palladium hit an all-time high of $1019. But it was. With a high of 1007 to 1008 per ounce and a low of 998 with a final price of 1013 to 1014 dollars. Global copper prices ended the week higher by 0.46 per cent.

Meanwhile, crude oil prices in the world market rose to a high of $79 per barrel and then fell back down. The price of Brent crude reached the highest level of 78.07 to 79.30 and finally the price was 78.05 dollars. US crude oil prices touched a high of $74.22 to $75.57 and finally closed at $74.38.

In the world market, the increase recorded in the dollar index this week was considered the biggest weekly increase in the last two years. Meanwhile, in the Mumbai bullion market today, gold prices without GST were trading at Rs 75,700, Rs 75,660 at 99.50 and at Rs 76,000, gold at Rs 75,964 was trading at 99.90. Mumbai silver prices without GST were Rs 92,200 to Rs 92,500.
