Finally the Bigg Boss 18 kicked off on Sunday (October 6 2024). The first contestant to enter Salman Khans reality show was famous TV actress Chahat Pandey. Apart from being a popular actor Chahat has also contested elections. The actress has featured in a bunch of TV serials including Pakhi Parekh in Hamari Bahu Silk Durga Aneja in Durga – Mata Ki Chhaya and Mahua/Krishna in Nath. Meanwhile as the reality show has started lets take a detailed look at Chahats journey so far. Born and raised in Damoh Madhya Pradesh Chahat made her acting debut with the show Pavitra Bandhan in 2016. You will be amazed to know that she was hardly 17 years old when she started her career. The actress was in several TV shows before she got her first main role in Hamari Bahu Silk in 2019. She has been the main character in other popular shows too. Yes you read that right! In 2020 Chahat and her mother were arrested. The duo were held responsible for sneaking into and breaking into her uncles house. They were also accused of vandalizing the apartment and assaulting him. However the mother-daughter duo were later granted bail. Chahat Pandey Also Contested Elections Chahat Pandey also tried her luck in politics. Before the 2023 Madhya Pradesh State Assembly elections the actress joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and contested the polls from her hometown Damoh. Unfortunately the actress lost by a large margin. Despite her popularity as an actress Chahat managed to secure only 2292 votes. She contested against Jayant Malaiya from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
