dust - Clean outdoor and indoor AC units periodically. You keep cleaning it with a wet cloth or vacuum cleaner.

Change Filter – A dusty filter reduces the performance of the AC and increases power consumption.

Cover – Cover the AC in winter to protect it from dust and other particles. You can use an old sheet or cloth to cover the AC.

Service - AC service should be done by a professional once a year. If any part of the AC is damaged then get it repaired or replaced.

Check the drainage system – Make sure the drainage system of the AC is clean. If there is any obstruction in it then remove it.

Keep the room ventilated – Keep the room ventilated even in winter so that there is no moisture.
