WB: ‘I hand over this responsibility to women that…’ Big initiative of CM Mamata Banerjee, crime will be curbed

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday expressed concern over increasing criminal activities against women in the state. She appealed to women to help the police in identifying fake videos and misinformation that contribute to such crimes. CM also said that those who help the police can get anything from rewards to jobs.

Mamata Banerjee made this comment during the inauguration of Durga Puja at Kolkata Police Body Guard Lines. During this, he also expressed his desire to recruit more women in the police force. Banerjee said those who help the police in identifying and arresting criminals will get rewards or job opportunities. CM said that women are the real stars, they understand the society better.

Women handle both home and community- CM

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, 'Whenever you notice the spread of information, I entrust the responsibility to you women to go to Facebook and X, post the pictures which were marked as 'fake' Is. Send them to the police cyber crime unit. She said that for this she encourages women to unite.

He said that women handle matters well both at home and in the community. He said, 'You are a real star. You understand the society better. I am directing the police to give 100 rewards to women who help in identifying and arresting criminals and may also consider giving them job opportunities.

Will appoint more women in police forces

The West Bengal Chief Minister also talked about recruitment of more women in the police forces. He said, 'In the last few years, more women have been recruited in the police than before. In future we will appoint more women in this. She further said that she wants to see more women in the police force.
