You can make it with semolina, no need of eggs, baking soda/powder. Let us learn how Rava Biscuits can be prepared easily at home.

These delicious biscuits can be easily made at home without oven or microwave. Their main ingredient is rava (semolina or semolina), which does not require flour, eggs or baking soda/powder. Plus, their flavor can be easily customized to suit your preferences. The version below has a delicate cardamom-coconut essence, but you can also add vanilla to these rava biscuits. These fried biscuits are ready in about 30 minutes.

  • Whisk ghee, sugar and hot milk in a large bowl.
  • Add rava, flour, milk powder, salt, cardamom powder and desiccated coconut.
  • Mix all the ingredients well and let the mixture sit for 10 minutes.
  • Then, knead the mixture gently until it forms a soft dough.
  • Let it be – divide the dough into small parts and make lemon sized balls.
  • Gently flatten each dough ball and place on a tray.
  • Now heat oil in a pan for frying on low flame.
  • When the oil becomes medium hot, start adding flat balls into it.
  • Turn the biscuits, ensuring both sides are cooked evenly.
  • Keep turning them until they turn golden-brown and have few cracks on the surface.
  • Let them cool before enjoying the biscuits with tea.
  • Keep the remaining biscuits in an airtight container.
