In an interview given to Sapan Verma's YouTube channel, he said, “I consider the 80s to be the worst time for Hindi cinema. At that time people were either writing double meaning songs or were writing songs that had no meaning at all.” During this time he told that during that time he used to refuse to do such films in which there was even a little vulgarity in the imagination.
