Co-owners Jim Ratcliffe and Joel Glazer are expected to attend the emergency meeting that Manchester United’s executive committee is scheduled to hold on Tuesday in order to determine whether Ten Hag will remain with the team after they have only won two of their first seven Premier League games, which is the worst start in the team’s history.

The purpose of the Tuesday night meeting, according to a report by The Athletic, is “to discuss the latest developments at the club and plan for the future.”

But with the squad’s horrible start to the season, the committee will need to decide whether or not to keep Ten Hag on the team going forward.

Ten Hag was questioned about his position as United’s head coach and if any talks about a possible departure had taken place after Sunday’s draw against Aston Villa.

“We have extremely transparent and open communication. I chat to them all the time, and right after the game I have work to do, including managing the players and responding to your queries. We converse all the time. In the post-game press conference, Ten Hag said, “Every day we talk, so I assume I will speak with them. Every week, that’s what I would say.

INEOS CEO Ratcliffe did not exhibit the same trust that was being placed in him and did not support the head coach as he had in the past, notwithstanding Ten Hag’s positive display.

“I believe Erik is a great coach, and I like him, but ultimately, it’s not my decision. The Manchester United management group must choose the best way to handle the team in a variety of areas. Our goal is really clear. It’s extremely evident that we want to move Manchester United back to its rightful place, and we have said as much to the BBC.
