Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni came to Nampally Special Court in Hyderabad accompanied by his family. Telangana Minister Konda Surekha has been sued for defamation for remarks she made that were divisive and disparaging to his family. The suit is for a hundred crore.

After Telangana Congress politician Konda Surekha made comments about his son Naga Chaitanya’s divorce from actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Nagarjuna Akkineni launched a defamation suit against her. The case has been filed at the Hyderabad district court under Section 356 Bhartiya Nayay Sanhita.

The complainant, Nagarjuna, claims that on February 10, 2024, while attending the Gandhi Jayanti Program, the accused made defamatory remarks about the complainant and his family in a speech to the media.
