Congress has suffered a major setback in the Haryana Assembly elections. Congress, which was hopeful of victory, has once again gone away from power. In the elections, BJP became stronger than before and succeeded in reaching power while Congress had to be content with 37 seats. The condition of Congress in Haryana is similar to what happened in Madhya Pradesh at the end of last year. Then former CM Kamal Nath had a good run in Madhya Pradesh elections, but he could not make Congress win, now Hooda had a good run in Haryana but did not get victory.

In the election results, BJP has won 48 seats. Meaning, she is going to form the government with full majority. Former CM and Congress leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda is being held responsible for the condition of Congress in Haryana. This is because Hooda's strategy was visible in every decision from ticket distribution to the high command. Bhupendra Singh Hooda himself had made 25 MLAs repeat. Apart from this, in Haryana he was seen strengthening himself instead of Congress. The effect of this was that Hooda won his seat, but sank the boat of the Congress party.

Hooda repeated Kamal Nath's mistake

In Haryana, Bhupendra Singh Hooda was considering himself a one man army. Like Kamal Nath, Hooda's closeness to the Congress high command is not hidden from anyone. Just as Kamal Nath had decided to contest the 2023 elections keeping aside the party high command's views and contest alone, Hooda also did the same. In the elections of Madhya Pradesh, Samajwadi Party had expressed its desire to contest the elections in alliance with Congress, but due to Kamal Nath the matter could not be resolved. Kamal Nath was so excited about the victory that when the media asked him questions about Akhilesh Yadav, he said, leave Akhilesh, leave Akhilesh.

The result was that Congress contested alone in Madhya Pradesh and had to face a crushing defeat at the hands of BJP. The result was that in the 230-seat assembly, BJP won 163 seats and Congress was stuck on only 66 seats. BJP made a strong comeback in the elections and returned to the government stronger than before. Something similar has been seen in Haryana also.

Had there been an alliance with AAP and SP, the results would have been different.

In Haryana, Congress had every opportunity for an alliance with Aam Aadmi Party and some other parties. Aam Aadmi Party had also started talks, but Congress, which was very excited about the victory, decided to enter the field alone. Aam Aadmi Party had demanded 10 out of 90 seats in Haryana. At the same time, SP was also wanting 2-3 seats. The result was that the party once again had to face a crushing defeat. If we assess the election results, if Congress and AAP had entered the fray together, the results would have been different. This was also seen in the Lok Sabha elections held this year. The vote share of Aam Aadmi Party in Haryana has been 1.79. If AAP had formed an alliance with Congress, the scattering of votes that occurred would not have happened. BJP directly benefited from this scattering of votes.

Lessons should have been learned from Lok Sabha elections

Both Aam Aadmi Party and Congress were part of the India Alliance in the Lok Sabha elections. Out of 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, Congress had contested on 9 seats while Aam Aadmi Party was in the fray on 1 seat. Congress was successful in winning 5 seats in the elections. BJP had to suffer the loss of five seats. In such a situation, it is believed that if Congress had formed an alliance in the Haryana Assembly elections, it might have tasted victory.

BJP was successful in wooing silent and floating voters.

There was a large silent section among the voters of Haryana who did not want the return of Congress and especially Bhupendra Hooda. BJP succeeded in wooing such silent and floating voters by reminding them of the days of Hooda government. Apart from this, the vote of deprived Scheduled Caste is 14 percent, which was named as DSC or DSC by the BJP government of Haryana, most of their votes went to BJP.
