Action taken under the new telecom rules

New Telecom Rules have been implemented across the country from October 1. These rules have been made for the safety and convenience of the customers. Under the new rules, the government has taken strict action against connections made through fake documents. 1.77 crore mobile connections have been shut down. Out of 1.77 crores, 33.48 lakh connections were such that were used for cybercrime. 77.61 lakh connections were such that were against the rules applicable for SIM. Apart from these, the government has also blocked 71 thousand SIM agents. In this way, the government has taken strict steps to curb fraud and cybercrime, which will increase the safety of the general public.

Fake SIM cards are blocked with the help of AI

The government has blocked 1.77 crore mobile connections with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for being issued on fake documents. Along with this, four telecom service providers in collaboration with the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) have blocked 45 lakh fake international calls from entering the network. These SIM cards were issued on fake Aadhaar cards and other documents. The government is shutting down such SIM cards to reduce spam calls. In such a situation, you should know that your SIM card should not be issued on someone else's documents. If this happens, your SIM card can also be blocked. The government is continuously shutting down such fake SIM cards to stop spam calls.
