There are many intriguing mysteries related to the Mahabharata war that continue to surprise people. One lesser-known fact is that Lord Shri Ram's grandson also played a role in this legendary battle.

Brihadbal, the grandson of Shri Ram and the 32nd descendant of Kush (Shri Ram's son), was the King of Ayodhya and a skilled warrior. However, instead of siding with the Pandavas in the Mahabharata war, Brihadbal chose to support the Kauravas.

As per mythology, this decision was influenced by an earlier event. Before the Mahabharata war, the Pandavas performed the Rajasuya Yagya, during which they defeated Brihadbal and took control of Ayodhya. This defeat deeply angered Brihadbal, which led him to align with the Kauravas when the great war unfolded.

Brihadbal ultimately met his end in the war at the hands of Abhimanyu, Arjuna’s valiant son.
