The idea of getting pregnant quickly by lying down after physical relations is a common belief, but you cannot say it is completely true or false. This belief is not based on scientific facts but is related to people's experiences and myths.
Experts say that people think that lying down gives the sperm more time to reach the uterus, however, the truth is that the sperm travels very fast. Immediately after intercourse, the sperm can reach the uterus within minutes. The job of the sperm is to reach the egg. Gravity or body position has a limited effect on this.
.Experts now say that people believe that taking a few minutes after physical relations can give the sperm a little chance to go in the right direction, but there is no solid evidence that it dramatically increases the chances of pregnancy. The quality of the sperm, the health of the egg, and the reproductive cycle of the woman are more important.
Experts say that physical positions like missionary are considered ideal for conception because they allow the sperm to move towards the uterus, but this is only a small part. Lying down after intercourse has the effect of gravity but it does not guarantee conception.
Experts believe that if a woman lies down for a while after intercourse, there is no harm in it, but it is wrong to say that it will increase the chances of pregnancy. Many other factors are involved in conception, such as the right time, fertility , and health status of both the woman and the man.
