Alia Bhatt's Jigra has been released in theatres. Actually, Alia Bhatt made her debut with the Bollywood film Masala. But as a producer she is trying to produce good content. Alia's film Jigra was not so popular. But after watching his Darlings, there was a belief that this film will not disappoint and my guess turned out to be correct. Alia Bhatt's Jigra is a good film. The story of this sister who fights with the whole world to free her brother does not bore. 'Jigra' is an interesting emotional action thriller, which will keep you engaged till the end.

Story

Satya (Alia Bhatt) has been taking care of her brother since childhood. He had seen his father commit suicide in his childhood. But he never let his brother Ankur (Vedang Raina) miss his parents. This small world of brother and sister gets noticed by someone and both get separated from each other. In a foreign country, Ankur gets falsely accused of drugs and is directly sentenced to death. Now will Satya, who saved her brother from mischievous children in her childhood, be able to free her brother from jail? To know this, you will have to go to the theater and watch Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina's Jigra.

How is this film?

There is a dialogue in this film, when Bhatia (Manoj Pahwa) tells Satya that he does not want to become Bachchan, he wants to escape and Satya replies, no, now he has to become Bachchan only. Alia Bhatt is the Amitabh Bachchan of Jigra. Jigra has emotions, action, drama along with a bit of humor and you feel every emotion while watching the film. Before watching the film, I thought that it would be a film to be watched on OTT but it is a value for money film. The story of the film, direction, acting of the actors and background music, everything is amazing. But this story is far from the truth. Many will have the passion to do something for their loved ones, but this kind of jail break is not possible in real life. So if you want to enjoy the story instead of trying to find logic, then you can definitely go to the theater and watch 'Jigra'.

Writing and Directing

I had seen Vasan Bala's 'Cinema Marte Dum Tak'. This was a documentary reality series, which was about B and C grade films released in single screen theatres. The way Vasan directed this series while respecting the dignity of the artists working in such films was really very good. He has also directed some films, but with 'Cinema Marte Dum Tak' he proved that he can do anything. 'Jigra' is the best film of his career so far.

In 'Jigra', 'over the top' dialogue has not been used anywhere while describing the brother-sister relationship. Whatever dialogues have been written for Alia or Vedang are realistic. That means, in this film the sister does not speak big dialogues. She doesn't say that I will sacrifice my life for my brother. She directly asks whether if I cut my vein, as an emergency, the jail management will allow me to meet my brother. That is, with this dialogue, the writer has shown without any melodrama that this sister can really do anything for her brother and Alia Bhatt has also made us believe with her acting that Satya (her character) will do nothing. It can turn something into happening and something that can happen into something that doesn't happen.

acting

Talking about acting, Alia Bhatt has once again proved that she can play every character with ease. Now I even called him 'Amitabh Bachchan' of this film, what else can I say? We know that what we are seeing is impossible, but Alia Bhatt makes us believe with her acting that it is possible, it can happen. While watching the film, we also start thinking that if this simple looking girl can do something like this, then we too can do it. Even if it is for two and a half hours, making the audience believe that they too can do anything, I think this is the victory of the actor, Vedang Raina is also good. Just working in front of actors like Alia Bhatt and Manoj Pahwa is not enough. Vedang Raina has given complete justice to his character.

Vivek Gomber is seen in a negative role in the film and you will hate him after seeing him. The good casting of 'Jigra' has made the director's job easy.

music

This film is going to be released on Amitabh Bachchan's birthday and Amitabh Bachchan's songs have been used well in the film too. Be it the song 'Chappu Chhuriyaan Tej Kara Lo' from Zanjeer or 'Yaari Hai Imaan Mera'. Apart from this, the background music of the film helps in making it more interesting. For example, Ankur and his friends do some planning in the jail and when their decision is made, the sound of a tambourine is heard (a slightly different instrument from a tambourine). This sound is often used in theater when there is a big twist. , or is heard when the story ends on a shocking ending. Due to the background music of Achint Thakkar, the impact of every scene in the film has increased.

see or not

If you are going to watch this film with the hope of seeing 'Rocky Aur Rani' or Alia Bhatt dancing while saying 'Saturday-Saturday', then this film is not for you. Fact-wise, there are many loop holes in the story. In one scene, Alia Bhatt is seen telling her brother that he is going to go out soon. Will a country whose prison management does not allow even a fly to enter, not monitor the conversations between prisoners and visitors? If a criminal fleeing from one country crosses the border and comes to another country by mistake, will the other country easily allow him to enter? Will these gatecrashers be able to go home easily from that country? If you think logically, many such questions will come to your mind and especially if, like me, you watch crime documentaries on Netflix. But this is a commercial film, so watch it for enjoyment and not for logic.

Recently Divya Khosla and Anil Kapoor's film 'Savi' was released. Abhinay Dev had directed the film. This was also a jail break drama. In terms of acting and direction, 'Jigra' is better than Savi, but if we talk about facts, Savi seems more correct.

I watched this film 'First Day First Show' in the theater with about 30 people. When the film ended, people's applause was heard. There could be two reasons for this applause: one, he had someone close to him in the production team of the film or he really liked the film. Now it will be your decision whether you want to applaud after watching this film or not, but I must say that the film is good and can definitely be seen in the theatre.
