The actor Usman Mukhtar disclosed that he took on the play Jafa, among other reasons, to draw attention to the terrible problem of domestic abuse, which he had personally experienced.

Usman posted on Instagram, saying, “After every episode, I usually share a picture and ask for your feedback.”

However, everything feels different now.”

He went on to say, “One of the main reasons I chose Jafa was to spotlight the destructive issue of domestic violence, which I have closely observed.”

Usman Mukhtar explained that while he wasn’t personally involved in this plot, Mohib Mirza and Mawra Hocane did a fantastic job portraying the emotions.

Usman thought that by bringing attention to the silent agony that many women face, the drama would spur social change.

He expressed gratitude to producer Momina Duraid and director Danish Nawaz of the show for their thoughtful and responsible handling of the sensitive issue.

In Jafa, Mawra Hocane plays Dr. Zara, who endures her abusive husband Hassan’s (Mohib Mirza) violent outbursts and psychological issues.

Despite urging Hassan to seek professional help for his anger issues, he lies about following through with the therapy.

The situation escalates, and Hassan’s aggression sends Dr. Zara to the hospital, raising awareness of domestic violence’s severe consequences.
