Material

  • First of all, you have to take one and a half cup of Basmati rice and soak it.
  • For this you have to use 2 liters of milk.
  • Add sugar as per taste and grind 4 to 5 cardamoms coarsely.
  • After this, chop 10 to 12 pieces of almonds and keep them aside.
  • Keep two spoons of raisins and a few threads of saffron.
  • One tablespoon ghee will also have to be added.
  • If you feel like it, you can garnish it with coconut and add it with a big spoon.

Prepare like this

  • First of all, heat ghee in a pan. Fry the soaked rice in it until it becomes light golden.
  • After this boil the milk.
  • Then add roasted rice to boiled milk.
  • Now leave it to cook on low flame.
  • Keep stirring it in between, so that the milk does not stick to the bottom.
  • When the milk becomes completely thick, add sugar and ground cardamom to it and mix it well.
  • When it is cooked, add almonds, cashews and raisins.
  • When the kheer is ready, you can add garnished coconut to it.
  • Now keep it under the moon.
