Google has finally made Android 15 official and the new version is rolling out if you have the right Pixel phone. We had heard reports about the Android 15 version releasing mid-October and Google has happily confirmed those rumours with its roll out on October 15 for Pixel 6 and later devices across the globe.

The new Android 15 version doesn’t get a lot of cosmetic changes, so the user interface is similar to Android 14 but underneath the UI you get a slew of features, including better protection for your device if it gets stolen.

Android 15 Update Now Available: Which Pixel Phones Support It

The Android 15 update is available on the latest Google Pixel models that have launched in the last 3-4 years. These Pixel phones can run the new Android version:

– Pixel 6

– Pixel 6a

– Pixel 7

– Pixel 7 Pro

– Pixel 7a

– Pixel 8

– Pixel 8 Pro

– Pixel 8a

– Pixel 9

– Pixel 9 Pro

– Pixel 9 Pro XL

– Pixel 9 Pro Fold

– Pixel Tablet

– Pixel Fold

As you can see here, a wide range of Pixel devices are compatible with Android 15 which includes the first-gen Pixel Fold and the older Pixel 6 model.

Android 15 Update: How To Install And Download Size

The Android 15 update is available over the air (OTA) which means you don’t need to be a techie to install the version. All you have to do is:

– Open Settings on your Pixel phone

– Scroll down to System

– Click on system update

– Your Pixel phone will show you a new update available

– Install the Android 15 update and restart the phone

The Android 15 update available for Pixel users comes at 1.07GB and takes around 15 minutes to install and upgrade to the new version on the device.
