The objective of this scheme launched by the central government is to empower artisans and craftsmen engaged in 18 traditional trades, to provide them with necessary assistance and training. Main features of the scheme
Advanced training: Participants receive advanced training in their respective trades.
Stipend: A stipend of ₹500 per day is given during the training period.
Toolkit provision: Beneficiaries are entitled to a toolkit worth ₹15,000.
Loan Features:
Initial loan of ₹1 lakh.
Additional loan up to ₹2 lakh without guarantee and at a reasonable interest rate.
