Ration card people grievance camp
The DMK Government has announced that under the Public Distribution Scheme, Grievance Camps will be held every month in every circle across Tamil Nadu. Hereby get all the details related to the ration card such as applying for a ration card, adding the name to the ration card, deleting the name on the ration card, and changing the ration card address.

For this, a special camp under the General Distribution Scheme will be held on the 19th of this month (October) from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm. This ration card issue is held at the 19 Zonal Assistant Commissioner's Office, Department of Food Supply and Consumer Protection, Chennai.

It has been informed by the Tamil Nadu government that you can participate in this ration card special camp and get services including name addition, name deletion, address change, mobile number registration and change in family cards.

It is also said that senior citizens, who are unable to visit the fair price shops in person, will be given an authorization certificate.

Details of family cards in circulation in Tamil Nadu

1. Priority Cards (PHH) – All goods containing sugar will be issued.

2. Priority – Antyodaya Annayojana (PHH-AAY) – All commodities including 35 kg of rice will be provided.

3. Non-Priority Cards (NPHH) – All commodities including rice will be provided.

4. Sugar Preference Card (NPHH-S) – All commodities including sugar except rice will be provided.

5. No Item Card (NPHH-NC) – No item available. Can only be used as an identity or address proof.

What are the terms and conditions for getting a new family card?

The applicant and his/her family should be Indian Citizens.

The applicant and his/her family should live separately with a separate kitchen.

Applicant and his family should be residents of Tamil Nadu.

The applicant and his family members should not have family cards anywhere in India.

The name of the applicant and his/her family member should not appear in any other family card in Tamil Nadu.

Applicant and family members must be close relatives.
