In the morning session of the fourth day of the Test match, England was bowled out for 144 by Noman Ali, who returned with statistics of 8/46. England was chasing 297 to win the Test and go 2-0 up.

at the first Test match at Multan, England defeated Pakistan by an innings and 47 runs.

The same surface was used for the second Test, where Pakistani spinners Ali (8/46) and Sajid Khan (7/111) wowed the England hitters with intricate webs in the second and first innings, respectively.

Ben Stokes, the captain of England, led his team in scoring with 37 runs in the second inning, although all of their front-line hitters found it difficult to hit the turning ball.

When play resumed on the fourth day at 36/2, England’s hitters had to step up to the plate. However, the writing was on the wall for England when vice captain Ollie Pope (22) dropped in the second over of the day, gifting off-spinner Sajid Khan a return catch.

Noman was bound to go berserk eventually. He had Joe Root leg before wicket for eighteen, a call the batsman could not appeal, and he shortly scored his maiden Test triple-century.

Jamie Smith went out for six soon after, with England battling at 88/6.

Stokes, who often plays game-winning hits, had to put in extra effort, but Friday was an entirely different story.

When Stokes came dancing down the track against Noman, his bat flew out of his hands to midwicket, and Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan recovered the ball and pulled the bails off with Stokes far out of the crease. Stokes, who almost scored at run-a-ball, was out stumped.

It was just a matter of time till Noman completed the innings and gave Pakistan the victory after Stokes left the field.

When England batted in the second innings, the pitch turned so dramatically that just Noman Ali and Sajid Khan shared all 10 wickets and bowled all 33.3 overs.

On October 24, the third and final Test match gets underway in Rawalpindi.
