Pakistan's new trick for Champions Trophy, special offer given to BCCI to invite Team India

Clouds of crisis are still looming over the organization of the Champions Trophy to be held in February-March 2025. The tournament is to be organized in Pakistan, for which the stadiums are being rebuilt but the biggest problem is still with Team India. Considering the bad relations between India and Pakistan and the security threat in Pakistan, Team India is not likely to go. Despite this, the Pakistan Cricket Board is hopeful that Team India will come to their country for this tournament and now it has even put a new offer in front of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. A report has claimed that the PCB has even said that Team India can return to India after playing every match and the Pakistani board will help them in this.

Cricbuzz has claimed in a report that the Pakistani board has recently written a letter to the Indian Cricket Board, in which this special offer has been given to invite Team India to Pakistan. According to the report, PCB has said that if Team India does not want to stay in Pakistan due to security reasons and wants to return back to Chandigarh or New Delhi after every match, then the cricket board is ready to provide full help in this matter. It has also been told in the report that an official of the Pakistani board confirmed this offer. A big reason for giving this option is the gap of one week between the last two matches of Team India.

Pakistan Cricket Board had released the probable schedule of Champions Trophy just a few months ago. This tournament will start from 19th February and continue till 9th March and will be organized in 3 cities. PCB had then also proposed to organize all the group matches of Team India only in Lahore, so that there is not much threat to the security of Team India. Also, the distance from Lahore to India is only a few kilometers. Keeping this in view, PCB has given BCCI a new option to return to India after every match. However, despite this option, there is little hope of Team India being sent to Pakistan. BCCI has already made it clear in this matter that the decision to send Team India to Pakistan is only in the hands of the Government of India and whatever the government of the country says will be done.

However, in the last 3-4 days, there have been murmurs of resumption of cricket relations between India and Pakistan. The reason for this is the visit of Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar to Pakistan, who recently reached Pakistan's capital Islamabad for the SCO conference. For the first time in the last 9 years, an Indian Foreign Minister had visited Pakistan. Here Jaishankar also met the Pakistani Foreign Minister. Pakistani media had also claimed during this time that there was a discussion between the two foreign ministers regarding cricket diplomacy and during this, Pakistani board chief Mohsin Naqvi had also participated, but sources related to the Indian Foreign Ministry denied any such discussion. Had done.
