Son Varun stopped the shooting of David Dhawan’s film, what is the reason?

Director David Dhawan, known for his excellent comedy films in Bollywood, is ready for a great comeback. His last film Coolie No. 1 was released in the year 2020 and now after almost four years, David is once again making a comeback with a romantic comedy 'Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai'. David Dhawan's son and actor Varun Dhawan and 'Sita Ramam' actor Mrunal Thakur will be seen together in this film. This pairing is quite fresh and fans of Varun and Mrunal are very eager to see them together.

According to some reports, the film is all set to go on floors on November 6. Bollywood Hungama recently had a special conversation with David Dhawan in which David told some special things related to the film. David told that the initial plan was to bring the film on the floors in October, but due to his illness the shooting was postponed. He also said that his son Varun insisted that the shooting of the film should begin only when David's health completely recovers.

Why did the shooting of the film proceed?

David Dhawan revealed that we will shoot on a set in Goa and a set in Mumbai. I am not well and was even admitted to the hospital. My son refused to shoot with me. He told me to recover first and then we will shoot. David said that Varun was right, so he accepted his words and told that he will not shoot in October. David Dhawan said that I had dates but I refused for the shoot.

When will it be released?

'Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai' is David Dhawan's 46th film as a director and Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films is the producer of this film. The two had previously worked together in Govinda-Urmila Matondkar's Kunwara (2000) and Coolie No. 1 (1995). Recently, in a special conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Ramesh Taurani gave a big update about the film. He told that this film is on track and he will shoot for 20 days in November. While giving a big update about the release of the film, he had said that the film may be released on October 2, 2025. Varun is currently busy promoting his upcoming web series Citadel: Honey Bunny. Along with him, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is also in the lead role in the series.
