But opposition leader Pratap Singh Bajwa has written a letter to the Election Commission. He wrote that I have written a letter to the Election Commission requesting to postpone the by-elections to be held in Punjab on November 13, as that date coincides with the holy celebration of the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. This will ensure that people can perform their religious duties and participate fully in the democratic process.

On the other hand, Congress MP from Ludhiana and Punjab Congress President Amarendra Singh Raja Waring did not say that the candidates for the Punjab by-elections will be announced in the next 2 to 4 days. He said that the application form has arrived from the assembly constituency. Meanwhile, he also gave a big statement about his wife Amrita Waring. He said that since Amrita is the wife of the Punjab Congress President, he cannot apply directly and the high command will decide whether he will contest the elections or not.

Names of Congress candidates to be announced soon
