Six days a week, from Monday through Saturday, players from as many as twelve clubs affiliated with the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Institute (KHASI) compete at Shillong Teer.

There are two archery rounds, each of which determines the winning number. The last two numbers of the number of arrows that strike the target make up this enchanted sequence.

If you participate in the Shillong Teer, you wager on a number between to determine which number will win that round.

You get Rs. 80 if you win the first round and Rs. 60 if you make the right guess in the second. A total of Rs. 4,000 is awarded for making two correct predictions in the top and second place in two consecutive competitions.
