star shared an emotional update with her followers following Saturday night's (October 19) show.

The Welsh dancer, 34, and her partner received 30 points for their jive to Hey Ya! by Outkast. After their routine, Amy, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2023, took to Instagram with a selfie as she shared her excitement about her hair growing back.

"Oh how having these wigs and style makes me excited for my hair to grow!!" Amy wrote before thanking her makeup team.

Following her breast cancer diagnosis, Amy was forced to pull out of the 2023 series of Strictly. She had a mastectomy and underwent chemotherapy before being told she had in February.

Returning to the Strictly dancefloor, Amy has been partnered with JLS singer JB. The couple found themselves in the dreaded dance-off for the first time on Sunday night.

They were up against and Karen Hauer, with the judges unanimously deciding to save JB and Amy.

After finding out they had made it through to week six, Amy praised her co-star as she shared a snap of them in the mirror.

"That was nerve wracking!" she began. "But as always so proud of you @jbgill and no matter what pushing through! Proud of us!"

Amy continued: "Let's keep pushing and most importantly having fun! @paulmerseofficial and @karenhauer you guys have been a blast to watch and no dance off is ever pleasant, gutted for you two but you have brought so much fun and energy to the ballroom each week!"

Strictly fans now believe they have spotted a new curse as they shared their theories online.

"Crazy how JB danced first last night and in the dance off, and Shayne Ward danced first last week and too himself there. Going first is a curse lol," wrote one viewer as another fan agreed: "Ooh that's a bit of a shock, but I think sometimes opening the show can put you in a risky position. Easy to forget the first couple especially if they fall in the middle of the leaderboard."

"Going first is a proper curse this series," declared a third. as another added: "Voters with goldfish memories yet again. Two weeks in a row. The curse of first."
