A has closed the between Junction 5 near Sevenoaks and Junction 6 near Godstone.

The incident occurred at around 10pm Sunday and has closed all lanes in the motorway's clockwise direction. The anti-clockwise section of the motorway was partially open, however, lanes three and four remain closed near Junction 6.

National Highways said the road was likely to remain closed until midday.

It added: " Specialist recovery will be required, and the road surface will likely need to be resurfaced."

Emergency services warned drivers to avoid the area.
