New Delhi. There is a danger of storm in the Bay of Bengal. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of formation of a cyclone in the Bay of Bengal on October 23. At the same time, on October 24, this storm can hit the coasts of Odisha and West Bengal, due to which there is a possibility of heavy rains with strong winds in these areas.

According to the prediction of the Meteorological Department, the effect of the cyclonic storm arising in the Bay of Bengal will be seen in Uttar Pradesh also. Due to this cyclone, there may be light rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh from October 24. In such a situation, there will be no strong sunlight due to rain in the state and cloud cover in many areas. Along with this, the effect of cold may increase in the state.

According to IMD, a low pressure area has formed over East Central Bay of Bengal and the adjacent North Andaman Sea. At the same time, due to the effect of cyclonic circulation of upper air over the North Andaman Sea and adjacent East-Central and South-East Bay of Bengal (South-East Bay of Bengal) today on the morning of October 21 (05:30 am IST) East- A low pressure area has formed over the East-Central Bay of Bengal and the adjacent North Andaman Sea.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression by the morning of 22 October and into a cyclonic storm over east-central Bay of Bengal by 23 October. After that, it may move north-west and reach North-West Bay of Bengal from the coasts of Odisha-West Bengal by the morning of 24 October. According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic high over the Andaman Sea is likely to turn into a low pressure area during the next 24 hours. At the same time, this weather system can take the form of a severe cyclonic storm. There is a possibility of heavy rain during this period, due to which the administration is on alert mode. Apart from this, fishermen have also been advised to stay away from the coasts.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, these types of storms are often unpredictable and there is a risk of cyclone in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Bangladesh, and Myanmar. There are indications that this system will become stronger and intensify. At the same time, the low pressure will move from north-west towards the central parts of BoB and will turn into a depression on October 23. It appears that this weather system may move towards the coasts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. In this situation, the depression will have very little time over the ocean to become more intense, making the system an early-stage hurricane and unlikely to be severe enough to make landfall.
