Furthermore, according to a Naukri.com poll, 48% of workers evaluated these programs as “very effective,” indicating that many businesses are making progress in promoting the well-being of their workers.

The research did, however, also indicate important gaps that underscore the need for more focused initiatives to foster a climate at work where candid discussions about mental health are welcomed.

The results showed what workers need in order to talk about mental health at work more comfortably.

According to 45% of respondents, professional therapy was the resource that was most often sought.

Furthermore, 37% demanded explicit mental health policies, and 35% cherished the opportunity to speak candidly about mental health concerns with decision-makers. An further 25% expressed a desire for managers to get improved mental health training, indicating a need for more understanding and supportive management.

But not every employee thought the programs had a significant effect. According to the data, 23% of those who believed there were little advantages said these programs were only “formalities” with no real significance.

Eleven percent of respondents said their employers provided no mental health help, while another twenty-seven percent admitted some improvement but said more effort was required.

The findings indicate more general patterns in the labor market, whereby choices about hiring are more influenced by mental health assistance.

“Organizations that provide significant and successful mental health initiatives are actively being prioritized by job seekers, suggesting that businesses that prioritize employee well-being may have an advantage in luring and keeping top talent,” the poll said.

According to the report, in order to build a resilient and supportive work environment, organizations need to keep improving and modernizing their mental health initiatives.
