While on one hand India is busy preparing for 6G, on the other hand there are still many people who are facing problems due to not getting the right speed on 5G network. Reliance Jio and Airtel were the first to launch the 5G network in the country, two years have passed since the launch of the 5G network. A recent report has revealed that 5G speed has declined.
According to the report, due to rapid adoption of 5G technology and increase in data consumption, the problem of network congestion has increased due to which the average 5G download speed has declined. According to this report by Opensignal, factors like usage and spectrum management are important for a better 5G experience.
It is mentioned in the report that only 16 percent of 5G users use the 700MHz frequency band which provides more coverage in large areas. Coverage is available with this frequency band but users experience slow 5G speed.
On the other hand, 84 percent of users use 3.5 GHz band which offers faster speed but has limited coverage area. Amidst the increasing demand for data, service providers are facing a lot of problems in managing spectrum resources.
According to the report, Airtel's 5G speed is 6.6 times faster than that of Reliance Jio. Airtel's 5G download speed was 239.7Mbps, while Jio's 5G download speed was 224.8Mbps.
Due to falling 5G speed of Reliance Jio and Airtel company, many users are upset and complaining on microblogging platform X.
The biggest problem of Jio is of network, it is just for the sake of saying that it has 5G but the speed is not even like 3G, please improve the network speed a bit, just making the recharge expensive will not work.

@airtelindia Before updating your network to 6G or 7G, make sure your users are getting at least 3G speed at 5G connection.
It sucks
