Sakshi told how her tuition teacher had tried to physically exploit her. She also told that she could not even tell her family about this accident because she felt that it was her fault.

In her auto-biography, Sakshi wrote about the tuition teacher that, “I could not tell my family about this because I felt it was my fault. During my school days, the tuition teacher used to harass me. He used to call me to his house at untimely hours to attend classes and tried to touch me. I tried. I was scared of going to tuition classes, but I couldn't even tell my mother about it.”

Sakshi Malik took part in the protest

Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and former Wrestling Federation President Brij Bhushan Singh was accused of sexual harassment by several female wrestlers last year. After this, many big athletes including Sakshi Malik staged a protest and were going to float their medals in the river Ganga to draw the government's attention to this matter.
