State-owned BSNL has unveiled a new logo as it prepares to launch its commercial 4G services. In addition, the telecom company has rolled out a suite of new offerings, including a spam-free network that automatically filters out phishing attempts and malicious SMS messages. Union Minister of Communications, Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated the new log at BSNL Bhavan in Delhi on Tuesday.

BSNL has introduced a national Wi-Fi roaming service for its FTTH customers, offering high-speed internet access at BSNL hotspots at no additional cost, which helps users lower their data expenses.

Furthermore, BSNL announced a fiber-based intranet TV service that features over 500 live channels and Pay TV options available to all FTTH subscribers without any extra charges. Notably, the data used for streaming TV will not be deducted from the users’ FTTH data allowance.

In addition, the company is launching automated SIM kiosks, making it easy for customers to purchase, upgrade, or port SIM cards effortlessly.

In partnership with C-DAC, BSNL has launched a private 5G network specifically designed for mining operations, utilising Made-in-India equipment alongside BSNL's technical expertise. This network facilitates advanced AI and IoT applications in both underground and large open-pit mines, delivering high-speed, low-latency connectivity for safety analytics, real-time remote control of autonomous vehicles (AGVs), augmented reality-enhanced remote maintenance, and fleet tracking.

Finally, BSNL has introduced India’s first Direct-to-Device (D2D) connectivity solution, which seamlessly integrates satellite and terrestrial mobile networks. This technology will play a crucial role in emergency situations and remote areas, allowing services like UPI payments to function even in isolated regions.
