Tremendous Ruckus In JPC Meeting, Trinamool MP Kalyan Banerjee Injured: There was a heated argument between Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee and BJP MP Abhijit Gangopadhyay. During this, Trinamool MP Kalyan Banerjee became so angry that he threw a glass water bottle on the table. Due to this, he himself got hurt, he got four stitches in his hand. Taking action against Kalyan Banerjee for this behaviour, he has been suspended till the next meeting.

New Delhi. There was a huge uproar today in the meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) formed regarding the amendment in the Waqf Board. There was a heated debate between Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee and BJP MP Abhijit Gangopadhyay. During this, Trinamool MP Kalyan Banerjee became so angry that he threw a glass water bottle on the table. However, by doing so, Kalyan Banerjee himself got injured. He has four stitches in his hand. At the same time, BJP leader and JPC President Jagdambika Pal, who was sitting nearby, also escaped injury. Action has also been taken against Kalyan Banerjee for this behaviour. He has been suspended till the next meeting.

Actually, in anger, Kalyan Banerjee first threw the bottle on the table and then tossed it. After this the bottle fell near Jagdambika Pal. As soon as Kalyan Banerjee threw the bottle, the glass hit his hand, after which blood started flowing from his hand. He was immediately taken for first aid. After this incident the meeting was adjourned for about an hour. It is being told that TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee wanted to speak in the meeting without taking his turn. BJP MP Abhijeet Gangopadhyay objected to this. It is alleged that the TMC MP made objectionable comments on the BJP MP. The debate on this matter escalated further and the TMC MP lost his temper in anger.

At the same time, it is also alleged that BJP MP Gangopadhyay abused TMC MP Banerjee due to which he broke the bottle. Let us tell you that the JPC formed in connection with the Waqf Board Amendment Bill 2024 brought by the Narendra Modi government at the Center to overcome the shortcomings in the management of Waqf properties, includes 31 members from various parties in the ruling party and the opposition. In which 21 members are Lok Sabha MPs while 10 members are Rajya Sabha MPs.
