“I was not in the shop when the robbery started, but as soon as I heard gunshots, I rushed inside,” recounted Pramod Poddar, the business’s owner. There were two robbers on the stairs frightening my employees with their guns.

According to TOI, Poddar said, “I took out my licensed revolver and fired at them without any time to think.”
Two of the thieves were injured as a result of his quick response. Locals gathered outside the store after hearing the emergency siren, and they were able to apprehend the wounded thieves while the other two fled with the stolen jewelry.

An employee named Ajay Kumar described how the thieves first entered by posing as clients. “They kept us at gunpoint after requesting to see several gold chains. They were joined by two more, and when we refused, they threatened us and started shooting. Although it was terrible, we were fortunately spared by Pramod’s prompt response,” he stated.

Locals apprehended the two injured thieves and turned them over to the police. Maneesh, the superintendent of police in Begusarai, verified their arrest and said that the police are looking through CCTV video to find the other two fugitives. Currently, the wounded are being treated while being held by the police.
