A village chaupal… A panchayat of men sitting on the chaupal… Conversations here and there in the panchayat… There is a person who is narrating a story. Far away the day is now beginning to wane and the light color of the evening is rising… but that person is still telling the story… is being narrated… is being spoken, is just being told. People around say… how much he speaks. He just keeps on talking… How many such people do we often see, whom we feel like… God, how much does he talk? Do they live to speak…? But there are some people in the world who really live to speak. Shoojit Sircar, who has given brilliant films like 'Sardar Udham', 'Piku' and 'October', is going to narrate the story of one such person who lives to speak.

Abhishek Bachchan is an amazing actor and we are not just talking about his commercial cinema here. The Abhishek that you see in films like Housefull or Dhoom is not seen in Abhishek Guru and Raavan. This is the beauty of cinema and actors. Shoojit is also one such filmmaker whose whenever an actor comes in front of the camera, only the character is visible and not the actor playing it. If this pair comes on screen, they can spread a different kind of magic. With this hope, Shoojit and Abhishek have announced their new project. The name is 'I Want To Talk'.

The title says so many things

The name of the film is a bit English but in Hindi it means 'I have to speak'. This one name has so many meanings. For example, a person is saying this in anger, while someone is standing in front of the judge in a pitiful condition and is about to be sentenced. People who know Shoojit and understand his work know that the names of Shoojit's films are very different. Take 'Pink' only. A color which is called the color of girls only. This title itself says so many things in a hushed voice that the world says that there is no difference between men and women and not even a single color has been left out here. The name of the film is Pink and the film is about consent. About one word which resonates in Amitabh's voice in the packed courtroom... 'No means no'. Shoojit has so beautifully expressed that difference in the name itself.

A small teaser surfaced

Abhishek and Shoojit's upcoming film 'I Want To Talk' also seems to be similarly subdued. A small teaser of the film has surfaced in which we see Abhishek's bobblehead kept on the dashboard of a car. Abhishek's voice comes behind. The amazing thing is that the belly of this bobblehead is quite fat. Abhishek's voice comes from behind and says... 'I dont just love to talk... I Live to talk... I see only this basic difference between being alive and dying. Living people can speak…dead people cannot speak.

Who is in the film?

This story is about a person who always looks at the better side of life. He doesn't care what life throws at him, he has his own unique way of living life. This is like the character of a blind Kumud Mishra running fearlessly in the white moonlight on the rocky battlefield in the film 'Nazar Andaz' at night. The film 'I Want To Talk' will be released in theaters on 22 November 2024. Talking about the story of the film, it is the story of a father Arjun Sen and his daughter. It is about the ups and downs of their relationship and a big twist in Arjun's life. Seeing the relationship between father and daughter through Shoojit's camera has always been very special. Apart from Abhishek, a contact creator Ahilya Baru will also be seen in the film. Apart from this, actors like Johnny Lever, Jayant Kripalani are also included in the film.
