The central government has increased the dearness allowance from 50 percent to 53 percent. After the central government, now the state governments are gradually increasing the dearness allowance. The Haryana government has also increased the dearness allowance of government employees by 3 percent. The Naib Singh Saini government of Haryana on Wednesday announced a three percent increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) of government employees and pensioners from July 1. This information was given in an order.

Employees of this state will get the benefit

According to the order, the dearness allowance and dearness relief payable to the employees and pensioners or family pensioners of the Haryana government has been increased from 50 percent to 53 percent of the basic salary from July 1, 2024. According to the order, the increased DA and DR will be given along with the salary and pension of October and the arrears of July to September will be given in December.

Chhattisgarh government had also announced (Chhattisgarh DA Hike)

Before Diwali, the Haryana government has given the good news of dearness allowance, but before that the Chhattisgarh government had also announced dearness allowance to the employees of the state. The CM has announced a four percent increase in the dearness allowance (DA) of the employees. In such a situation, now the dearness allowance of the employees of the state will increase to 50 percent, which was 46 percent till now.

Cabinet had approved

In the cabinet meeting held on October 16, Diwali gift for government employees was announced. In the cabinet meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi, a 3 percent increase in dearness allowance of central employees has been approved. After this increase, the dearness allowance (DA) given to central employees has increased from 50 percent to 53 percent of the basic salary.
