Were Sharad Pawar and Nana Patole defeated by Uddhav Thackeray's move? Fielded candidates on disputed seats also

There was a deadlock going on in Maha Vikas Aghadi regarding seat distribution in Maharashtra Assembly elections. Negotiations were going on between the allied parties. Meanwhile, Uddhav Thackeray's party Shiv Sena released the list of 65 candidates. Uddhav neither spared Nana Patole nor Sharad Pawar.

A formula has been decided to give 85 seats to each party of Maha Vikas Aghadi. So far, consensus has been reached on 255 seats in Mahavikas Aghadi. It has been decided to give some space to allies, but there is still disagreement on many seats.

It was also said that the decision on the remaining seats would be taken after discussion with colleagues. However, it is becoming clear that the rift over space allocation in Mahavikas Aghadi has not been completely resolved.

The issue is still stuck on 33 seats

After the seat sharing of the controversial Maha Vikas Aghadi, questions started being raised about the existence of this alliance. After this meeting, Nana Patole said that the formula of 270 seats has been decided as 85-85-85 and the remaining 18 seats will be given to allies. But if the formula is 85-85-85 then the sum of all these is only 255. Then why should Nana Patole have mentioned 270 seats?

This means that Maha Vikas Aghadi still has a gap of 33 seats. Mahavikas Aghadi will meet again in the next two days. It is expected that in those meetings the final decision regarding seat sharing of Maha Vikas Aghadi will be taken.

On the other hand, earlier Congress was insisting on 125 seats and Thackeray Group on 100 seats. But now after discussion and debate, Congress will try to get more than 100 seats. There is talk that the Thackeray faction will try to reach the figure of around 100 seats. Meanwhile, AB forms have been given to many candidates of Thackeray group and Sharad Pawar group and the candidates are filing their nomination papers.

Earlier, meetings were held from Delhi to Mumbai regarding seat distribution. When there was a rift between Sanjay Raut and Nana Patole, Congress put forward Balasaheb Thorat.

Uddhav declared candidates only after the meeting

After that, a meeting of Maha Vikas Aghadi was going on in Mumbai for 3 days and everyday it was being claimed that Maha Vikas Aghadi would end seat sharing, but things were not working out. Meanwhile, on the third day on Wednesday, a meeting was held at YB Chavan Center in the presence of Sharad Pawar, the meeting lasted for an hour. And Supriya Sule came out. She told that all is well and there will be a joint press conference of all three parties, After which Jayant Patil from NCP Sharad faction, Sanjay Raut from Shiv Sena and Nana Patole from Congress came forward.

Candidates declared on disputed seats also

Here the meeting and PC, on the other side Uddhav released his list and that too when the media cameras were showing live that Maha Vikas Aghadi's PC is going to happen. There were many interesting things in this list. For example, there are many seats of Congress and NCP which were stuck in dispute with Uddhav. Uddhav has fielded his candidates from Ramtek seat, Bandra East and Nashik West seats of Congress quota. Whereas NCP has fielded its candidates on Kurla seat, Parbhani seat, Paranda seat and Gevrai seat of Beed as claimed by Sharad group. That means Uddhav neither spared Sharad Pawar nor Congress.

Sharad Pawar and Nana Patole kept watching during the live press conference at YB Chavan Center of Nariman Point. Such a list came from Matoshree that the leaders got up and started leaving. Apart from these, Uddhav also gave a blow to the ally party Shetkari Kamgar Party. Sangola seat belongs to Shetkari Kamgar Party, which is with MBA, but Uddhav has fielded his candidate. On this, Shetkari Kamgar Party had declared its candidate on Tuesday.

Thirdly, there is another interesting thing, right now there is a tax issue on many important seats, which has not been resolved. Like- Bhiwandi West, Versova, Colaba, Byculla, Nagpur South and Erandol. These are some important seats for which candidates have not been declared.
