Nikita Porwal from Madhya Pradesh has been living in Mumbai for the last several years. About 2000 girls participated in the 60th Femina Miss India contest held in the year 2024, out of these 2000 girls, 200 were shortlisted. Then out of 200, 24 participated in the last round. It was not easy for Nikita to leave all of these 24 contestants behind and win the title of 'Miss India World 2024', but she made it possible on the basis of her hard work. Recently, in a conversation with TV9 Hindi Digital, Nikita talked about her future plans.
Nikita would first like to know from you, what was going on in your mind before the result was announced? We want to know about that moment.
There was a lot of panic before the results, there was fear and excitement in the mind. Anything could have happened. I did not know in which direction my life was going to take the next moment, but I always wanted to hear the name of Madhya Pradesh, because Madhya Pradesh had never got this title in the 60 years of history of Femina India. Finally when I heard that Nikita Porwal is from Madhya Pradesh, I was very happy. Then I looked at my parents, father had tears in his eyes and mother's eyes were closed.

Today Nikita has become Miss India World, but what was the previous Nikita like before winning this crown?
I have always been a girl who doesn't think twice before chasing her dreams. If I decide that I want to do something, I keep doing it. But this does not mean that I live separate from my family. I love spending time with them. I am a good cook and I love cooking for my family. I make parathas very well. Whenever I go home, my family members demand that I make parathas for them and I happily fulfill their demand.
I love dogs, I have a 12 year old dog at home, whom I have adopted and at the same time, I also take care of the dogs around my house.

Now you will have to wait for about 2 years for Miss World, in the meantime if you are offered a film, what will you do?
I like to serve the theatre. My life resides in theatre. I have been playing the role of Mother Sita in Ramleela for the last 5 years, she is a big part of my life. But for me, representing my country in the world is even more important. If any film is offered to me, I will see whether I can do it while managing my schedule or not, but I will not let it affect my Miss World preparations in any way. It is most important for me to represent my country on a platform like Miss World. Right now, it is more important than films or my acting career.
Which is the actor in Bollywood with whom you would like to share the screen?
I like Ranveer Singh's screen presence very much. I feel that if I ever get a chance to work with him in my life, I will get to learn many things from him. I have always found him to be a genuine person. I have to learn his raw acting, passion, all this. Also, if I get a chance, I would like to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
