Spice cultivation is considered very beneficial for farmers economically. Especially if spice cultivation is done with the help of technology along with the selection of the right crop on time and better management, then farmers can earn a lot with bumper production. At the same time, the farmers of Khagaria, which has made its identity as a maize-producing district, will now produce spices.

The government has also set a target for spice production in Khagaria. Along with this, a subsidy will also be provided to the farmers. It is being told that the Bihar government is promoting the cultivation of coriander and fenugreek under the Seed Spice Scheme. Let us tell you that good profits can be earned by cultivating coriander and fenugreek at low cost and in less space. In such a situation, the Bihar government is giving bumper subsidies to the farmers doing coriander and fenugreek.

Spices will be cultivated in 20 hectares.

Khagaria's District Horticulture Officer Dr. Rajni Sinha and Horticulture Assistant Yashwant Kumar told Local 18 that the district has received a target of 10 hectares for coriander cultivation and 10 hectares for fenugreek cultivation under the Seed Spice Scheme. In total, spices will be cultivated in 20 hectares for now. Those farmers will be given benefits who come to apply first. He further said that farmers have to spend 30 thousand rupees in cultivating one hectare of coriander or fenugreek. In such a situation, farmers will get 50 percent i.e. 15 thousand subsidy. In this scheme, farmers will be given information about coriander and fenugreek, so that farmers can improve their income by cultivating it.

Khagaria's District Horticulture Officer Dr Rajni Sinha told Local 18 that to avail of the benefits of the scheme, farmers of the district can visit their nearest block or district horticulture office and get information. To apply online, farmers should first go to the state government's website horticulture.bihar.gov.in. After this, choose the scheme option and click on the Seed Spice Scheme. Then after this, apply for a subsidy on coriander and fenugreek.
