IAS Official Amoy Kumar was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over the distribution of Bhudan lands for almost seven hours. When the official was the collector of Rangareddy and Medchal districts, farmers complained that he had taken the Bhudan lands by force.

The Enforcement Directorate was looking into the transfer of an expensive land piece in Bhudan in Survey No. 181 at Nagaram, Maheshwaram mandal, when officials claimed Amoy Kumar showed up. During the preceding BRS administration, the IAS official served as the Collector of the districts of Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri.

Currently, he serves as the Animal Husbandry Department’s joint secretary. The vigilance probe revealed that 50 acres of Bhudan land had been alienated, according to ED authorities. A inquiry was started after a complaint was filed against the local MRO. The Bhudan land was discovered to be registered in the name of a private individual who had previously sold it to a real estate firm.
