New Delhi: At 41 years she is heading one of the vastest and renowned Indian conglomerates. She is a dynamic Indian businesswoman who is currently the managing director of TVS Holdings Ltd formerly known as Sundaram-Clayton Ltd (SCL) since 2022. Meet Lakshmi Venu the fifth-generation businesswoman. She is not only leading TVS Holdings Ltd but was the joint MD of Sundaram-Clayton Ltd (SCL) since 2010 when she was 27. Lakshmi Venu is at the helm of TVS Holdings Ltd an Indian automotive components company based in Chennai whose market cap is Rs 29333 crore as of October 23. It is the part of the TVS Group that makes aluminum and magnesium castings for the automotive industry. She is the daughter of Venu Srinivasan chairman emeritus of TVS Motor Company a Rs 1.22 lakh crore market cap firm. Venu Srinivasan has a real-time net worth of $ 4.9 billion as per Forbes. The TVS Group was established by Lakshmi Venu’s great-grandfather TV Sundaram Iyengar 1911 with the establishment of TV Sundram Iyengar & Sons in Madurai. Lakshmi completed her primary education at the Sishya School in Chennai from where she moved to the Yale University the USA where she earned a bachelor’s degree in economics. After that she earned her doctorate in Engineering Management from the University of Warwick in Coventry England. Apart from helming the TVS Holdings Ltd but is also the Deputy Managing Director of TAFE Motors and Tractors Limited a company headed by her mother Mallika Srinivasan as MD. Her brother Sudharshan Venu is the managing director of the TVS Group. She married the son of Infosys co-founder NR Narayana Murthy Rohan Murty. in 2011 but the two got divorced in 2015. In March 2018 Lakshmi married Mahesh Gogineni in a private ceremony held in Jodhpur. Mahesh Gogineni a first-generation entrepreneur who runs a tech start-up.
