In view of Diwali, preparations for sweet poison were also going on in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. A case has come to light after which there is a stir in the entire district. Not 10-20 kg but more than 30 quintals of such sweets were found in which many types of defects were found. The Food Department team has taken samples of the sweets recovered in the raid. Fresh sweets were being made by mixing rotten and moldy sweets. The value of the consignment of sweets recovered in such a large quantity is said to be around Rs 15 lakh. During the operation, a person who was selling sweets without a license fled from the spot.
Actually the whole matter is of a remote village in Gursahaiganj area. Here the Food Safety Department received information that a person was trying to illegally mix rotten sweets and supply them during Diwali. The accused youth is preparing to play with people's lives. After this, Food Safety Officer Umesh Pratap along with his team raided the spot. He too was shocked when he found a huge quantity of sweets during the raid. In sweets, doda barfi, white barfi, red colored barfi sweets were found being prepared. According to officials, about 30 quintals of sweets were found on the spot. Many quintals of sweets which were kept for supply on Diwali have got spoiled.
Giving information, officials said that the accused youth was making new sweets by mixing spoiled sweets. In this, spot samples of milk powder, semolina, soya refined starch etc. were taken. The information revealed that a person named Ravikant was selling sweets, who fled from the spot.
Food Safety Assistant Commissioner Umesh Pratap said that action is being taken continuously by the Food Safety Department under a special campaign in which an information was received. A raid was conducted on the spot in which a large quantity of sweets were recovered. Spoiled, moldy sweets were also found nearby. In such a situation, it seems that there was a preparation to prepare a new sweet by mixing these sweets. The price of this entire sweet will be in lakhs of rupees. In this case, we have taken several samples and have pasted a notice here that business will be banned until the samples are tested. At the same time, after this action of the Food Safety Department, there is fear among the residents of the entire district that how people were preparing to sell sweet poison by playing with ordinary life in the greed of some money.
