Delhi Air Pollution: Delhi’s air improved before Diwali, but for how long?

The air in Delhi seems to be improving before Diwali. A slight decline has been recorded in the Air Quality Index (AQI). Delhi's AQI was recorded at 237 at 6 am on Saturday. However, it is still in bad condition. AQI was 283 on Friday morning. The most polluted area is ITI Jahangirpuri, the air quality index here is 265. The pollution level is likely to worsen again before Diwali. It may reach a dangerous situation in the next three to four days. Along with this, the weather of Delhi also seems to be changing.

People in Delhi are waiting for the cold. The entire month of October is about to pass but the pink winter has not yet set in. The effect of heat is visible during the day. It is mildly hot even in the morning and evening. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature may drop on October 30-31. The sky will be clear and sunny on Saturday. The maximum temperature of Delhi can be 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum can be 19 degrees Celsius. Due to the impact of storm Dana, changes can be seen in the weather of the capital.

Slight improvement in air, danger remains

Changing weather and worsening air in Delhi is troubling people. There is a blanket of smog in the capital. Toxic particles have taken over the air, due to which people are falling prey to diseases. People are also facing problems in breathing due to bad air. People are suffering from diseases like cold, cough and cold. There is a crowd of these patients in the hospitals. Arrangements are being made to deal with air pollution in Delhi. GRAP-2 has been implemented.

These efforts seem to be providing some relief. There has also been a slight improvement in it on Saturday. Anand Vihar area, the most polluted area in Delhi since Dussehra, has also recorded improvement in AQI today. It reached 246 on Saturday morning. Since last few days it remained between 300 to 400.

Cold will start from November

After cyclonic storm Dana, a change is being seen in the weather of Delhi. Due to storm Dana, heat may persist in the air for two days. The temperature will start falling from 30th October. The Meteorological Department says that pink winter will start from November. Cold will arrive after Diwali and Chhath. According to the report of the Meteorological Department, severe cold in Delhi may start from the third week of November. As the temperature falls, the level of cold will increase here. From these days people will start resorting to warm clothes and quilts and blankets.
