Telangana CM applauds MEIL team for contributing Rs 200 crore to Young India Skills University

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 26 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday lauded Megha Engineering Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) for its Rs 200 crore contribution to the Young India Skills University.According to an official statement, MEIL has pledged support for the development of the state's ambitious Skills University campus, committing Rs 200 crore under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the entire project. The company has taken on the responsibility of constructing all required buildings on the university campus.MEIL has stated it will develop the Skills University with state-of-the-art infrastructure, as outlined in the press release.A delegation from MEIL, led by Managing Director Krishna Reddy, met with Chief Minister Reddy at the Secretariat on Saturday. Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, along with Ministers D Sridhar Babu, N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, P Srinivas Reddy, and MP Anil Kumar Yadav, were also in attendance.MEIL discussed partnership specifics with the government for the construction of the Skills University. The management affirmed that the campus would be built to world-class standards.On this occasion, the university signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government for the construction of the buildings. The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, and University Vice-Chancellor VLVSS Subbarao.In August, CM Revanth Reddy performed a 'Bhumi Puja' for the Skills University's construction on 57 acres of land near Meerkhanpet in Kandukur mandal. The government aims to establish a campus equipped with comprehensive facilities, including advanced teaching resources, for students, according to the press release.CM Reddy thanked MEIL for its CSR-backed support in constructing the campus. MEIL's MD Krishna Reddy also confirmed that the company would provide hostel facilities along with academic buildings, workshops, and classrooms. Architectural models and designs for the university were presented at the meeting.CM Reddy instructed officials to finalise the building designs within a week and to arrange for construction to begin on November 8, assuring full support from the state government.
