India's only river, worshiped as father, included in the list of world's longest rivers

Brahmaputra River : India is considered to be the origin place of many rivers. There are some cities which are situated on the banks of rivers. Well, every city has history and heritage. In our country the river has been given the status of a mother. This is our culture, where people consider rivers as goddesses and worship them. There are many such holy rivers including Ganga, Jamuna, Saraswati, whose mere touch washes away all the sins of a person. Generally you must have heard people calling all the rivers as mother, but have you ever heard about a river which is worshiped as a father.

Yes, there is a river in India which people worship not as a mother but as a father. This in itself is quite surprising, because in India rivers are worshiped as women. Therefore, very few people know about the river which is worshiped in male form. This is the only river in our country which has many religious beliefs behind it.

Brahmaputra River

Actually, the name of this river is Brahmaputra River. As is clear from the name itself, this river must have been the son of Brahma. People worship him as their father. According to religious beliefs, this river is considered to be the son of Lord Brahma, where people take a dip of faith. This river flows in Assam, which is worshiped not only in Hinduism but also in Buddhism and Jainism. Talking about the geographical structure of Brahmaputra river, it is considered to be the deepest river of India, which is 140 meters. It is also quite large in width. Its origin is the Chemayungdung glacier of the Kailash range near Lake Mansarovar, from where this river originates.

India's only river

This river passes through Tibet, India and Bangladesh and merges into the sea. Its length is 2,900 kilometers. After coming from the Himalayas to the Sangam, it joins the Ganga river. It is included in the list of the largest rivers of the world. In Arunachal Pradesh it is also known as Siang or Dihang and in Bengal it is also known as Jamuna River.
