The climate of the capital Delhi is getting worse day by day, people are finding it difficult to breathe. Meanwhile, after two days of relief, on Sunday 27 October the air quality once again reached the very poor category. Because the air quality has declined due to the slowing down of the winds that reduce pollution.

If we look at the latest data of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the 24-hour average air quality index (AQI) of Delhi was recorded at 355 at 4 pm, whereas it was 255 on Saturday. CPCB has released data of 37 out of 40 monitoring centers in the city. According to this, the air quality was found to be very serious in three centres, Bawana, Burari and Jahangirpuri. Along with this, the air quality has also been recorded as very poor in cities adjacent to Delhi, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Noida and poor in Faridabad and Gurugram. Which is a matter of trouble for the people. People's health is being affected due to continuously deteriorating AQI.

AQI categories

Under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), air quality emergency measures have been divided into four phases to control air pollution in the Delhi-NCR region during the winter season. In which the first AQI is considered bad when it is 201 to 300, the second AQI is considered very bad when it is 301 to 400, the third stage is considered serious when AQI is 401 to 450 and the fourth stage is considered serious when AQI is above 450.

Wind speed recorded at zero kilometer per hour

According to India Meteorological Department i.e. IMD, the wind speed in Delhi was recorded at zero kilometers per hour. In the last two days, Delhi's air quality had improved from very poor to poor due to favorable wind speed, but on Sunday it once again reached the very poor category. According to CPCB, the major pollutants in Delhi on Sunday were PM 10 and PM 2.5. According to the data, the level of PM 2.5 was recorded at 110.6 micrograms per cubic meter at 5 pm on Sunday evening.
