Rachel Gupta from Jalandhar, Punjab has recently won the crown of Miss Grand International held in Thailand. Rachel Gupta, who became the winner of 'Miss Super Talent of the World' two years ago, always wanted to represent her country on the international platform. The dress worn by Rachel Gupta in the National Costume Round of Miss Grand International proved to be the turning point of this beauty pageant for her. Rachel Gupta became Devi Ganga in this round.
Talking about her costume, Rachel said- Himalaya is one of the largest mountain ranges in the world. It is said that this mountain range touches heaven. The most powerful God in the world lives here. The holy river Ganga flows through the snowy peaks of the Himalayas. Ganga is the goddess who enriches our entire country with the blessings of her waters. Many years ago, Ganga flowed only in heaven. But after the prayer of a king, she came to earth. The blue color of my costume symbolizes the purity of Ganga, while the white color represents the spiritual power of this goddess and the shine of my dress will remind you of the sparkling waters of Ganga.

70 countries had participated along with India in 'Miss Grand International'. 20 year old Rachel has shown her magic in this competition being held in Thailand for the last 11 years. In the finale of this beauty pageant along with National Costume Round, 4 rounds of Best Swimsuit, Best Evening Gown, Miss Popular Vote and Country's Power were organized and in all these rounds, 4 rounds were organized. Rachel Gupta Has won the crown of 'Miss Grand International'. After 'Miss Grand International', now the eyes of all the countrymen are towards 'Miss Universe'. Riha Singha of Gujarat is representing India in Global Miss Universe this year.
