DA Hike: Employees of this state got a Diwali gift, and dearness allowance increased by this much

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday greeted all the state government employees on the occasion of Diwali and announced an increase in their dearness allowance (DA) ahead of the festival. CM Yadav said that it is the responsibility of the government to take care of the state employees. Dearness allowance will be increased by 4 percent from January 1, 2024, and will be given to the state government employees at the rate of 46 to 50 percent.

CM Yadav said- "I wish all the employees of the state on the occasion of Diwali. The state government has decided to increase the dearness allowance of all employees. I congratulate everyone. The congratulations are doubled because along with Diwali, it is also the foundation day of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh was formed on 1 November 1956 and we are working to take the state and the country forward."

He said, "I congratulate all my employees, they work with dedication, hard work and positive attitude and with this they have made their mark among the employees across the country. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the state government to take care of the employees. 46 percent dearness allowance has been approved and it has been made effective from July 1, 2023. Arrears have been given in installments. Now from January 1, 2024, all the employees of the state government will be given dearness allowance at the rate of 50 percent."

CM Yadav wrote in a post on X, "I extend my greetings and best wishes to all the employees of the Madhya Pradesh government on the occasion of Diwali. I am happy to inform you that we have decided to increase the DA by 4 per cent, which will increase the DA payable at present from 46 per cent to 50 per cent. Dearness Allowance will be given to government employees at the rate of 50 per cent from January 1, 2024. The arrears will be paid in four equal installments this financial year. Earlier, the increased rate of dearness allowance was made effective from July 1, 2023, whose arrears have also been paid in installments."

He further wrote, "Your hard work and dedication has led Madhya Pradesh towards a better future. Also, on November 1, we are preparing for Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day, which is going to add more glory to the festival of Diwali. This day reminds us of the establishment of our state and our glorious past. I am grateful for your contribution to the progress and development of the state."
